Getting Unstuck: The “Feel-Good List” + Asking What You Want
Liza and Wendy talk about what it actually looks like to get unstuck as a single mom—especially when life feels like it’s coming at you from every angle (work stress, parenting pressure, burnout, and feeling triggered). They break down two simple anchors: (1) shift into healthy “feel-good” actions, and (2) ask yourself “What do I want?” so you stop spiraling in the problem and start moving toward a better state—one small move at a time.
Feeling stuck gets louder when you keep staring at the storm.
Sometimes the first step is just feeling better in your body (not solving everything immediately).
Create a healthy feel-good list so you don’t default to quick fixes that leave you worse later.
Ask: “What do I want?” (not “What’s wrong?”) — it changes how you respond.
Small movement counts: you don’t need a full transformation… you need a 10-inch shift.
Phone boundaries + routines (sleep, showers, water, movement) help prevent burnout buildup.
Try this today
The “Unstuck Reset” (7 minutes):
Write: “Right now I feel ___.”
Ask: “What do I want?” (peace, respect, rest, clarity, connection, etc.)
Choose one healthy feel-good action from your list (do it for 5 minutes):
stretch, short walk, water, shower, journal, music, quick clean-up, breathe
End with: “I’m not staying here. One step counts.”
